One Single Impression: (spectral) A Mother's Love

Delicate fingers surrounding cup
Graceful hands always
Small, soft and young
I feel those hands now
in the gentle breeze on my cheek
reassuring me she's there
A smile, a soft laugh
Eyes that danced
I see her in my children's faces
hear her in their laughter
reassuring me she's there
A grandmother’s kiss
A mother’s love
Another sip of tea

isn't tea itself a sort of specter of the sunshine of years past ~ your verse is enticing

So true to the heart. Often I look at my daughter and see my grandmother. I wonder if she knows whom she inherits.

Oh this is so beautiful. The descriptive phrases are so perfect, down to the sip of tea. A gem.
