We were on our way to the Goshen Fair, a real New England fair, on Labor Day. The sunflowers were in full bloom. I loved this shot and went back after the holiday to take more shots of the sunflowers that seem so far away here.
I am a forty-something finding herself with a little more "me" time now that the kids are older. I've been a frustrated college student for years and have yet to earn that bachelor's! I love to walk or run, I love the water but hate swimming. One of these days i'd like to work up the skill and the courage to complete a triatholon as well as run a marathon. My family is my source of pride, my children my true joy. My husband is my rock--he inspires me beyond belief and I love him beyond measure. He is my true soul-mate and my best friend.

If there is one drive I would like to take, its to see barns. There must be a barn route or something somewhere :)
So vivid, I can feel the warmth, Laurie. Great shot.

What is it about red barns that make such evocative images.
I love the New England red barns and sunflowers. Nice shot.
Neat photo and sunflowers would be beautiful to see right now
Old farm buildings evoke sentimental memories. Summer is coming!
I am fascinated by red barns. That's a great shot of that one. Good job.
I do love barns as well. My husband and I are planning a daytrip soon with that as the subject, we have so many in our area, it should be a fun day.
Old barns and the RED color on them, I LOVE!Thanks for posting this "memory" likeness!

Nice shot. I don't know what it is about red barns that I like but I do even though I don't get to see many of them except in photos.
