Skywatch Friday: Washington Monument

We spent Easter in Our Nation's Capitol: Washington, DC. We spent the morning on the National Mall visiting as many monuments as we could. I was overwhelmed at the sheer size and importance of the area . Lucky for me, my talented daughter Meghan captured this beautiful shot of the Washington Monument as the sun was peeking through the clouds. Please click on the image for more detail.

Great capture by Meghan. I love it. I loved when we visited Washington DC, 3 years ago. I can't wait to go back.

Your daughter captured a beautiful shot of the Washington Monument. I'm glad you got to see so many others during your visit. DC is one of my favorite places to visit and I feel fortunate that we only live 45 minutes away.

Washington DC was my hometown for many many years - so nice to "encounter" images from back there, thank you!

I've never been to Washington, but it's the sort of place I could probably shoot several hundred images in a single day.
