Skywatch Friday: Candlewood Lake

This pic of Candlewood Lake was taken just at sunrise as the mist was rising off the lake on St. Patrick's Day. They sky was so pretty that morning, I just couldn't drag myself away. The town beach was of course deserted, peaceful and quiet. It was a wonderful morning.

oh I really love the air of mystery in this. (Or would that be "mist-ery"?)

Beautiful photos you have been posting here. Thanks for sharing these wonderful views with us all in Sky Watch Friday and thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier.

Your career choice is an intersting one. Do you host a web site on that topic?

Sounds and looks like a perfect morning. So serene and tranquil.

As for the milky effect from my Watery Wednesday post... a slow shutter speed of 1/10s or less needs to be used, which typically requires a camera with semi-manual controls to set the shutter speed. This is usually designated by a function called S or A/S. I'm not sure what kind of camera you're using, but if it's a digital camera purchased within the last year for more than $100, chances are good that you have this capability. If you have more questions about this, I can answer them and show you some informative photography sites that go into this and other techniques.

Have a great weekend!
