Watery Wednesday: Bull's Bridge

Bulls Bridge is located in Kent, Connecticut. It is made up of a covered bridge, 2 or 3 miles in hiking trails and the falls, which is part of the Connecticut Light and Power plant system. I liked the juxtaposition of the glassy, reflective water above the storminess of the falls. The difference was amazing considering the two elements were mere feet apart.

My husband and I finally got out for a bit of relaxation on Saturday evening. The sun was setting quickly and we were losing the light, however what lighting there was perfectly suited this watery reflection.

Yes that middle shot is really neat. I've seen similar here too and even how birds like to be right at the edge without being swept into the fall.
Love the reflections in the last shot.

These are really nice, Laurie. They remind me I haven't been over to that side of the river for a long time. Thanks for the postcards!

Great shots of a lovely area! It amazes me how cam water can be just before it tumbles over a falls.

I've noticed the same thing about mill ponds. They can be glass smooth on a calm day, but as soon as you hit the dam and the mill race bam! Instant white water. Nice capture of the phenomenon. And I love the reflection shot.
