Watery Wednesday, Bulls Bridge

These two pics are from Bull's Bridge in Kent, Conecticut. My son and I went up together on Saturday and tromped through the woods and trails. It wasn't a particularly sunny day but the rain held off, which was nice. He has a couple nice shots to post as well, which we'll do together a little later. He says I have his "permission" to use his shots--what a good kid!

Yes, we could definitely hear the roar of the water--even if we were in the woods and couldn't see it. There's a gorge as well as two waterfalls that contribute to this park.

These are phenomenal! Are these falls naturally occurring or man made? They look so "intentional" I'd almost think they were built for a mill no longer in operation. But if they're that remote, that hardly makes sense.

"In 1917 Connecticut Light and Power build the Rocky River power station to harness the power of the river. The dam/canal system that creates these waterfalls and rapids is part of that hydro-electric power plant."

I just love the motion in this photo.

Amazing photos, the first one looks as if the water is coming out of the air.

Great shots! The second is really neat, with all the different lines in the water - and the first: looks like the water is coming from nowhere!

I LOVE the sound of rushing water...I can hear it all the way up here in Canada. (Yep, I have an active imagination.)

How nice your son will share his photos with you!

That's an awesome dam! It looks like a bowl, so cool! Can't say I've ever seen one like that before.

How awesome! Great shots. I love the way the round edge of the falls give it a smooth look before the water falls.

Wow, seriously interesting falls! The first photo is stunning full size. About how far away are you from the falls?

Wonderful images. In that first shot, the water looks like a curtain.
