Watery Wednesday: Happy St. Patrick's Day, Hank!

I met Hank when I was a kid and he was an old man. Hank knew how to enjoy life. He enjoyed his lake, he enjoyed his beer, he enjoyed his life. Hank lived right on Candlewood Lake and would tell me year after year that the ice is always off the lake by St. Patrick's Day. This year was no exception. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Hank. I miss you.

I love the way the haze softens things makes it a quieter scene. Lovely composition.

These are truly magical and I loved the story about Hank. Especially the first picture is like a dream. I wonder how you achieved such a mood and the pink glow that surrounds the whole scene.

It is so precious to befriend someone with so much wisdom and to tell us stories. I feel you. Anyway, these photos are just perfect, I like the misty look in it.

Terrific post. I'm sure Hank would love it.

The mist adds wonders to this photo. I also like the little waterbirds swimming around and disturbing the stillness of the lake, leaving behind small wakes. The tribute to Hank, however, is my favorite part of this post.
